YAGP

Boise Ballet Academy strives to give our pre-professional students opportunity to
participate in Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) throughout the Western United
States. YAGP is the largest ballet competition in the world and has provided more
than $4,000,000 in scholarships over the last 20 years.

Our goal is to be a presence in the ballet community that demonstrates
impeccable technique, artistry, and world class training. Participating students are offered semi-private coaching, rehearsals and performing opportunities. Classical and Contemporary solos are presented as well as Ensemble pieces. YAGP participation is for students ages 10 and up by invitation only. Preparation for YAGP begins in August. BBA attends YAGP Semi-finals in various cities during January/February. BBA students have placed 1st 2nd and 3rd in regional Semi-finals and participated in YAGP Finals since 2023. The BBA Faculty were named outstanding teachers in 2026.
